Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Filipino Marvel fans, brace yourselves.

A trailer of Captain America: Civil War will be exclusively shown at the AsiaPop Comicon Manila on Saturday (September 19) at 1 p.m.

This was disclosed by Rita Magnus, general manager of Universal Events and Entertainment, the group responsible for organizing the pop culture gathering happening from September 17 to 20 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

“What we’re doing is an exclusive screening of never-seen scenes from Captain America: Civil War and we’ll have Paul Bettany with a panel after that… so it kind of encompasses the new Marvel movie,” Magnus said.

It’s no secret that Filipinos are huge fans of the Marvel universe and Magnus said it's the “reason why we made the decision to come to Manila” and have Bettany tag along.

“I have been researching. I did a whole research with regards to Manila so we know about the passion and the crazy fans you have here,” said Magnus.

“We wanted to bring somebody from the cast of Avengers, someone big in the Marvel’s Civil War movie… and The Vision (played by Bettany) is a really big character.”

According to Magnus the trailer will be shown “definitely for the first time in Asia-Pacific.”

Wide range of guests

Aside from Bettany, also expected to show up at the AsiaPop Comicon in Manila are international celebrities such as Chad Michael Murray, Nathalie Emmanuel, Bill Goldberg, and Colton Haynes.

Also present will be toy artist J*RYU, who will unveil his latest “It’s a F.A.D.” Dunny creations, global cosplay icon VampyBit Me and America's Next Top Model contestant Allison Harvard.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Shada, the voice of Finn of Adventure Time, and his boyband Make Out Monday will be releasing an EP during the event.

Tickets to the AsiaPop Comicon Manila are available on the event's official website with the following prices: P500 for a 1-day pass, P800 for a 2-day pass and P1000 for a 3-day pass.

Where to next?

After the Manila leg, Magnus said that the AsiaPop Comicon will go to Abu Dhabi and Korea in the coming months.

But the international guests, Magnus added, may not be the same ones making appearances here in Manila.

“It might be different. It all depends on the scheduling,” explained Magnus. “But we want to make sure everybody gets a taste of the different guests at every tour we actually do.”
