Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 14) — Angelica Hale, a 10-year-old Filipino-American singer from Atlanta, Georgia, will be a contender in the 12th season of "America's Got Talent" (AGT) finals.

Hale advanced into the finals round after singing a rendition of "Without You" by David Guetta and Usher in the semifinals.

Hale is among the top 10 competitors of the talent show's finale, where six singers, two dance crews, a stand-up comedian, and a dog act will compete.

Final performances will happen on September 19, which will be followed by the final results the next day.

Hale first wowed the AGT judges with her audition piece, "Rise Up."

She then received the golden buzzer from guest judge Chris Hardwick after singing Alicia Keys' "Girl on Fire" at the Judge Cuts round.

Meanwhile, other Filipinos are also making their mark in singing competitions around the world.

The James Bond diva Gaga Lord, Filipino-Australian Elysa Villareal, and singing trio JBK -- composed of Joshua Bulot, Bryan del Rosario, and Kim Lawrenz Ordonio -- all breezed through the "X-Factor UK" auditions.
