Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 14) — Actor and model BB Gandanghari on Wednesday announced she has signed with a talent agency in the United States.

Gandanghari said she has signed with California-based The Brogan Agency, which represents film, television, commercial, print, and theater actors.

Gandanghari, formerly known as Rustom Padilla, is the transgender sibling of actor Robin Padilla.

Robin's wife Mariel congratulated the Hollywood-bound model.

"Oh wow!!!! Congratulations! God is good! We were just talking about it!" Mariel said.

Gandanghari admitted her sexual preference on the celebrity edition of the reality show "Pinoy Big Brother" in 2006.

In 2016, Gandanghari officially became woman after her petition to change her name and gender was approved by a court in California, where she has been living for years.

Gandanghari filed a petition to change her name and gender before the Superior Court of California in August 2016.
