Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 28) — Actor Aga Muhlach returns to the movie scene with the release of the family comedy-drama film "Seven Sundays."

The minute-long trailer released on Wednesday features Manuel, portrayed by veteran actor Ronaldo Valdez, attempting to reunite his children, played by Muhlach, Dingdong Dantes, Enrique Gil, and Cristine Reyes.

Manuel then reveals that he is dying, prompting the children to commit seven Sundays to bond with the family.

"Seven Sundays" was produced by Star Cinema and directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, who also helmed the hit movie "Four Sisters and a Wedding," which was in the similar genre.

The movie's premiere date has not been announced yet.

"Seven Sundays" also marks Muhlach's first movie in five years, following the release of the romantic-comedy "Of All The Things" in 2012, featuring actress and singer Regine Velasquez.

Muhlach's previous loveteam, Tony Award-winning actress and singer Lea Salonga, expressed support for the actor in an Instagram post.
