Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 27) — Video blogger Wil Dasovich is in good spirits after undergoing his “final” surgery against cancer.

The Filipino-American Youtube star said Friday he was “alive and well” after an operation to remove the remaining cancer cells in his body.

Dasovic recently went through surgery where doctors cut out the portion of his large intestine with cancer cells. In a January 18 video, he explained this could be his “final step” to becoming cancer-free.

“After I get past this surgery, if everything goes well then I should be done. This should be the final step to becoming 100 percent cancer-free,” he said.

A week after the operation, Dasovich posted the photo showing him in a hospital bed, sticking his tongue out while doing a shaka sign with both hands.

The photo has gained more than 96,000 likes as of writing time. Elated fans also sent their well wishes to the vlogger.

Dasovich first revealed his cancer diagnosis in a Youtube video last August. He later said doctors diagnosed it as stage 3 colon cancer.

Last January, Dasovich announced he was “officially done with chemotherapy” and almost done with the whole process to beat the disease.
