Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 15) — Sad news for ComicCon Asia 2018 attendees — Stan Lee can't fly to Manila for the event.

The event organizers made the announcement on social media Thursday citing the 95-year-old superhero creator's health concerns.

"His management team and ComicCon Asia have mutually decided to cancel his agreed appearance at the forthcoming ComicCon Asia 2018," the post read.

Prior to the announcement, ComicCon Asia confirmed reports that the comic book genius is battling with pneumonia.

Passes to the Stan Lee Q&A, photo, autograph, VIP photo, VIP autograph, and Excelsior events will be refunded. Eventgoers may email the organizers at payment@comiccon.asia.

ComicCon Asia 2018 will still push through on March 24 and 25 at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City. The original "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" Black Ranger Walter Jones, local musician and comic book enthusiast Yael Yuzon, and various comic book artists will be at the event.
