Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 30) — Actress and singer Nadine Lustre will no longer star in suspense-thriller film "The Nurse."

The film’s director, Jun Robles Lana said this in a tweet on Tuesday.

"#SorryNotHappening #MovingOn," the director tweeted in reply to a tweet by one of Nadine's fans.

When another fan asked why the collaboration would no longer happen, Lana said a "scheduling conflict" had gotten in the way.

"Scheduling conflict. Been waiting too long and it’s taken too much of my time. Going to Japan 2x to prep is no joke," Lana said.

The Nurse was set to be filmed Japan.

"Time to move and let go and recast. Thanks for the interest, guys," Lana added.

He also posted a separate tweet saying "My film. My rules."

Lustre has yet to issue a statement on the issue.

Her film "Never Not Love You" with actor James Reid is set to hit cinemas on Saturday.

Following Lana's announcement, some of Nadine's fans expressed hope the director would collaborate again with Lustre in the future.

Aside from "The Nurse," Robles also directed the films "Die Beautiful" and "Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes."
