Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 21) — A sneak peek at the new film of Filipino-Australian actor James Reid and Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo is now out, to the delight of netizens.

Viva Films production on Friday released the trailer of the Filipino adaptation of Korean film "Miss Granny."

 

Netizens quickly expressed their excitement over the star-studded new movie.

#MissGrannyPHFullTrailer topped the list of trending topics on social media site Twitter, while the video was among the most watched on YouTube with over 150,000 views as of writing.

Miss Granny revolves around the story of an old woman (played by veteran actress Nova Villa) who regained her younger self (portrayed by Geronimo) after having  a photograph at a studio called "Forever Young."

Geronimo's character joined the band of his grandson played by Reid, introducing retro music to the group. The group, then, was noticed by a music producer portrayed by actor Xian Lim.

The film, directed by Joyce Bernal, will be out on cinemas nationwide on August 22.
