Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 17) — Broadway actress and singer Lea Salonga broke a leg, literally.

The veteran theater performer was in Hokkaido, Japan with family when she reportedly fractured her tibia while skiing.

"I'm going to be taking a couple of extra items in my luggage, namely, a pair of crutches. I broke my leg on a slope. Clearly I have not learned the art of stopping," she said in a video she posted on her Facebook account Wednesday.

However, she assured fans that her concert tours will push through.

"I'm okay, I can sing. And I will see you in Hong Kong, Singapore, and the UK sitting down more than I normally would," she said.

Salonga will be joined by the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra on February 8 and 9 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall. For Valentine's Day, the singer-actress will be in Singapore, and she will also be performing in various parts of United Kingdom in late February and March.

She is also slated to perform with international balladeer Josh Groban on February 22 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Broadway veteran recently portrayed role as 'Erzulie,' the goddess of love, in the revival of Once On This Island. The play won the 2018 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical.
