Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 20) — Will we see Angel Locsin don the mantle of another superhero?

Locsin, who's no stranger to action packed roles, says that she's done with playing superheroes.

"Tapos na ko sa superhero roles hehehe," Locsin tweeted, replying to a fan on Twitter.

[Translation: I'm done with superhero roles.]

Her statement came after Filipino comic artist Leinil Yu said that he would love to see Locsin play the role of Marvel's latest Filipina superhero.

"We would love to see you as Wave, Angel," Yu tweeted in response to Locsin's questions about the character's design.

Locsin had played Filipino superhero Darna in the 2005 TV series, and the half-human, half-Mulawin Alwina in the 2004 TV series Mulawin.

She currently stars as 2nd Lt. Rhian Bonifacio in the TV series The General's Daughter, after it took her years to recover from a spine injury.

Her injury also prevented her from reprising her role as Darna in the upcoming movie that now stars Liza Soberano as the iconic heroine.
