Vinyl on Vinyl inaugural shows (July 18, Tuesday)

Welcome Vinyl on Vinyl into their new space (La Fuerza, 2241 Chino Roces Ave., Makati City) by dropping by their inaugural shows, opening on July 18, Tuesday. Catch group show, “Since the death of painting everyone has been fucking the corpse,” featuring work by Manuel Ocampo, Jayson Oliveria, Carlo Ricafort, and Gerardo Tan, Mike Crisostomo’s solo show, “Art Appreciation,” another group show, “Audible Trouble” featuring work by Chill, Gene Paul Martin, and JJ Zamoranos, and Joseph Tecson’s solo exhibit “Transition.”

On July 20, Thursday, catch four solo exhibits at West Gallery: “Shadow Dance” by Japanese artist Hitoshi Kanamura, “Langit Lupa” by David Ryan Viray, “Crack in the Wall” by Mariano Ching — with performances by Protopilot, Andy Gloryhol and Marilyn Diptych, Darrel Ballesteros, and Pinetree Janitorial — and “Sakal by Vladimir Grutas. “Shadow Dance” is Hitoshi Kanamura’s first solo show in the Philippines.

  • Jonathan Ching’s “Cut, Paste, Repeat.,” MM Yu’s “Other Than,” and a group show, “A Drawing Show,” curated by Nilo Ilarde, and featuring work by Brisa Amir, Vic Balanon, Elmer Borlongan, Nice Buenaventura, Nicole Coson, Lara delos Reyes, Ian Fabro, Jen Magbanua, Kat Ortiz, Michelle Perez, Mona Santos, Soler Santos, Tatong Torres, Sidney Valdez, Alvin Zafra, Cos Zicarelli, and Raj Zulueta. The exhibit is on view at Underground Gallery (2F, Makati Cinema Square, 2130 Don Chino Roces Ave., Makati City) until July 22.
