Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 27) — Another Pinay beauty queen has cemented the country's status as a powerhouse in the pageant industry.

Philippine bet Sophia Senoron won the first-ever Miss Multinational crown in Gurugram, India on Monday, the pageant organizers announced on Facebook.

 

She bested 34 other contestants from around the globe.

Miss Germany Saskia Kuban was named first runner-up, while Miss India Shefali Sharma came in second.

Talent manager and national director of Miss Multinational Philippines Arnold Vegafria posted a photo of Senoron's crowning moment on Instagram.

His photo has gained almost 1,000 likes as of Tuesday.

 

 

The Miss Multinational pageant was held from February 16 to 26. The pageant focuses on bringing out the best in contestants, and emphasizes the "positive change" beauty queens can bring about in the world.

Beauty queens Laura Lehmann, Ariella Arida, and Maggie Wilson congratulated the newly crowned Senoron on Vegafria's post.

Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 Winwyn Marquez also cheered for Senoron.

"Buti na lang may good news! [Good thing we have good news!] Congrats my Baby Girl Sophia! Our first Miss Multinational 17-18!" Marquez said.
