Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 13) — Late comedians who brought joy to Filipinos' lives will live forever in a digital comic book.

"The Comedians Reborn" manga/comic book posted on Facebook features late Comedy King Dolphy and legendary comedians Panchito, Babalu and Rene Requiestas. Also featured in the 19-page comics created by artist and writer Alan Czar Santos are Redford White, Tiya Pusit, Joy Viado, Larry Silva and Richie d' Horsie.

The cover of the first volume of "The Comedians Reborn" also includes sketches of Dencio Padilla, Tado, Mely Tagasa, German Moreno, Blakdyak, Elizabeth Ramsey, Palito, and more.

Santos also added the Filipino comedians who recently died, such as Bentong and Chokoleit.

The artist said the comic book was created to honor the "talented and astonishingly funny and brilliant" late comedians who brought laughter to Filipino homes.

"Their jokes will always be missed and NOW THEIR LEGACY CONTINUES," Santos wrote on Facebook.

He said printed copies are not available yet as he is still testing the waters.
