Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 26) — Motorists can use the new Skyway connection to the NAIA Expressway (NAIAX) for free for a month starting July 26.

Motorists now pay a ₱20 toll for the new section of the Skyway, and ₱35 for the NAIAX. Both fees were mandated by the Toll Regulatory Board.

The waiving of toll fees for the Skyway connection to NAIAX is part of a review "to fully integrate toll collection between Skyway and NAIAX, provide for seamless travel, and lessen stops of motorists," said a statement from SMC Infrastructure, the operator of Skyway and NAIAX.

The study is being undertaken by the Department of Transportation and San Miguel Corp., SMC Infrastructure's parent company.

SMC Infrastructure did not say what will happen after a month of the waived toll fees on the Skyway connection to NAIAX.

The four-lane,12.65-kilometer NAIAX was opened on June 1 as part of the Duterte administration's "Build, Build, Build" program to decongest Metro Manila roads.
