Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — A massive fire broke out Saturday afternoon at a styrofoam factory in Calamba, Laguna.

Authorities said the fire started at around 1:20 p.m. Saturday at the Mega Packaging Corporation compound in Barangay Canlubang, with around 20 fire trucks responding to the incident.

 

Netizens in the area reported a massive plume of thick, black smoke coming from the compound throughout the afternoon.

 

The fire has been declared under control as of 4:20 p.m. with no casualties reported.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
