Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Law students are paid the highest among fresh graduates, and can earn around P27,000, a job recruitment website said.
Those in healthcare-related and journalism sectors come next, with a salary of about P23,000 and P21,700, respectively.
Other professions that pay well are information technology, education, actuarial science or statistics, training and development, banking and financial services, public relations, and advertising.
Meanwhile, the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry continues to provide the most jobs to fresh graduates, according to Jobstreet.com's recruitment website.
In its March report, Jobstreet.com said around 66 percent of job openings in 2016 were in BPO.
Although schools are not in the top considerations of employers, Jobstreet reports that the most hired are those who graduated from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP).
PUP churns out around 33,000 graduates annually.
Next in line are University of the Philippines and Ateneo de Manila University.
Last year, UP Diliman alone produced around 4,500 graduates while Ateneo de Manila has roughly 2,000 graduates.
