Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — A week after clearing Vice President Leni Robredo of possible involvement in destabilization moves against the administration, President Rodrigo Duterte accused her of being eager to take his place.

Speaking to the Filipino community in Myanmar on Sunday, he said the vice president and his rivals are in a hurry for Robredo to become the top leader.

"Mga kalaban ko… Si Leni, aporado masyado maging Presidente," he said.

Before he left for Myanmar, Duterte said he would not be surprised if Robredo had a hand in the impeachment complaint filed against him last March 16 by Magdalo Representative Gary Alejano. But he added he would rather not speculate on her alleged involvement.

House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez said last March 17 he believes Robredo is behind the impeachment raps against Duterte, because she is in a rush to become President.

"Sa tingin ko nagmamadali ito upang siya ay maluklok sa diyan sa pwesto ni Pangulong Duterte dahil mukhang natatakot siya na pagbibigyan ang petisyon na bilangin ang mga balota noong nakaraang eleksyon," he said.

[Translation: I think she is rushing to take the place of President Duterte because she is scared the petition to recount ballots from the last election will be granted.]

Alvarez is studying the possibility of filing impeachment charges against Robredo for "betraying public trust" with her video message to the international community critical of Duterte's war on drugs.

Tirades vs. De Lima, Trillanes

Duterte also hits his critics — detained Senator Leila De Lima and Senator Antonio Trillanes IV — in his speech before the Filipino community in Myanmar.

He said the two senators have the same behavior — reiterating De Lima is not a political prisoner.

"Trillanes is… you know this guy he was the one mutiny. Look at this idiot. Pagdating ng pulis, nagsurrender. Ang ginawa, ninakaw lahat ng twalya sa peninsula. Makita niyo naman behavior, pareho kay De Lima. Sabihin niya political prisoner daw siya. Since when? Siya nga nagpavideo nakita ba niyo?

He added De Lima was trafficking illegal drugs while she was Justice secretary.
