Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 26) — Various groups have called for donations to help the thousands of people displaced following the onslaught of Typhoon Vinta.

Organizations are accepting cash or relief goods for victims of the Typhoon, which swept through the Visayas and Mindanao ahead of Christmas Eve.

Disaster authorities said at least 164 are dead and 176 others missing due to Vinta. It is the country's deadliest cyclone since Super Typhoon Yolanda struck in 2013.
