Air, sea travel cancellations for February 13 due to bad weather

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 13) — Several local flights were canceled Tuesday as Tropical Storm "Basyang" made landfall in Cortes, Surigao del Sur this morning.

Here are the canceled flights, according to the Manila International Airport Authority:

Philippine Airlines

  • 2P 2967/2968 Manila-Butuan-Manila
  • 2P 2557/2558 Manila-Dipolog-Manila
  • 2P 2521/2522 Manila-Dipolog-Manila

Cebu Pacific Air

  • 5J 621/622 Manila-Tagbilaran-Manila
  • 5J 373/374 Manila-Roxas-Manila
  • 5J 703/704 Manila-Cagayan-Manila

Skyjet

  • M8 421/422 Manila-Siargao-Manila

The Philippine Coast Guard also issued a hold departure order preventing some 2GO travel ships from sailing, as Basyang is expected to pass Central Visayas on Tuesday.

The following vessels are affected:

  1. SJP -Port Cebu (hold departure)
  2. SFX (shelter Dumaguete vicinity)
  3. SAP - Port Batangas (operational)
  4. SRD - (shelter Estancia Island NE Panay)
  5. SLG - Port Manila (hold departure)
  6. STC - Port Manila (hold departure)
  7. SAH - Port Manila (hold departure)
  8. SRU - Port Manila (hold departure)
  9. SNM  - Port Manila (hold departure)
  10. SAU - Port Davao (operational)
  11. SPC - Port Gen San (operational)
  12. SLU - Underway to Manila

The 2GO Travel advised passengers to monitor and wait for update on the new schedule of the ships. The company also said they will allow passengers who wish to rebook or refund with no surcharge.
