Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 13) — Several local government units suspended classes due to Tropical Depression "Basyang."

Palawan

• Puerto Princesa City (pre-school to high school)

Leyte

• Tacloban City (all levels)

Cebu

• Cebu City (all levels)

Biliran

• Naval (preschool to high school)
• Caibiran (all levels)
• Kawayan (all levels)
• Maripipi (all levels)

Storm signal no. 1 is also raised in several areas as Basyang continues to cross the Visayas, the state weather bureau said on Tuesday.
