Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 23) — Starting March, the fee for your National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) clearance will cost ₱15 more.

Clearance applications will be charged ₱130 starting March 12 compared to the current ₱115,  the NBI said in an advisory.

The bureau stated the increase is in compliance with the adjustment of the Documentary Stamp Tax (DST), after the Tax Reform Inclusion and Acceleration (TRAIN) law was signed into law last December.

The Philippine Statistics Authority also raised the prices of birth, death, and marriage certificates due to the DST adjustment.

The TRAIN law is expected to generate revenue to support the government's ₱9-trillion "Build, Build, Build" infrastructure program.
