Kris Aquino campaigned for former Liberal Party presidential bet Mar Roxas in the 2016 elections

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 23) — TV host Kris Aquino took it to Instagram to apologize for dragging politics in her outburst against another TV host, Korina Sanchez.

The Queen of All Media, in an Instagram post on Sunday night, called out "Rated K" host Sanchez for airing a feature story on her ex-husband basketball star James Yap, his Italian girlfriend Michaela Cazzola, and their growing family.

[Translation: The feature aired by Mar Roxas' wife was a slap in the face. I take it personally because I risked our future by campaigning for Roxas without asking for anything in return. She pays me back by featuring my son's deadbeat father.]

Aquino said the timing of the show's airing is questionable, adding Sanchez seems to be doing it intentionally to hurt her.

"NANADYA. Kaya lumaban ako," she replied to a netizen.

[Translation: She did it intentionally, that's why I fought back.]

i have really had ENOUGH.

Korina Sanchez is the wife of Liberal Party 2016 presidential candidate Manuel "Mar" Roxas. Former President Benigno Aquino III — Kris' brother — endorsed Roxas. Kris and her children, Bimby and Joshua, also campaigned for Roxas.

"I have really had ENOUGH. Dahil mahal ko sya ginawa ko," she said.

[Translation: I've had enough. My brother rarely asks for favors for himself, but he asked for a favor for the person he endorsed. I said yes because I love my brother.]

The actress explained it's clear to her why President Rodrigo Duterte — who won the election with over 16 million votes — was chosen by Filipinos over Roxas.

"I apologize sa Kuya ko, humihingi rin ako ng paumanhin sa ninang ko na nanay ni Mar — pero klarong klaro sa kin kung bakit ang nanalong Pangulo ay si DUTERTE," ending the post with a closed-fist emoji associated with Duterte.

Hours after her Instagram photo with Duterte went viral, Aquino issued an apology.

"I apologize for including politics, but that is the unfortunate baggage & responsibility of my last name... I do sincerely apologize to my brother. And I apologize to President Duterte. And Mar, to you i am sorry. In the same way i would always wonder why i would be dragged into issues not of my doing — i was guilty of that tonight," she said in an Instagram video post with Whitney Houston's "On My Own" as the background song.

She said she will try to move on despite the fact that "no remorse has been shown."

"I know I've unleashed a double edged sword... I also know i have personal demons i need to exorcise because no matter what i still want to be someone my sons can be proud of... so i will collect my thoughts & try my best to forgive regardless of the fact no remorse has ever been shown" she wrote.

Kris and Korina were once co-hosts in a morning talk show from 2002 to 2004.

(Please listen to the song.) I know I’ve unleashed a double edged sword. I know i’ve made enemies, and i’ve also found kindred spirits in MOTHERS who like me have felt that they have had ENOUGH & they had to take a stand & say I AM NOW FIGHTING BACK. I also know i have personal demons i need to exorcise because no matter what i still want to be someone my sons can be proud of... so i will collect my thoughts & try my best to forgive regardless of the fact no remorse has ever been shown. I apologize for including politics, but that is the unfortunate baggage & responsibility of my last name. But i will not delete any posts because my anger comes from the heart of a mother who has been unnecessarily stepped on by someone who has been blessed w/ a loving & devoted husband & does not know the hardship of having to go it alone (rewritten after some prayers)... I do sincerely apologize to my brother. And I apologize to President Duterte. And Mar, to you i am sorry. In the same way i would always wonder why i would be dragged into issues not of my doing- i was guilty of that tonight. I’ll be back after i have found my peace. Until then, to all those who still found it in their hearts to understand & embrace me & my sons- you have my eternal gratitude. #laban

Aquino has been airing her gripe against her ex-husband James Yap. On April 21, she called out Yap when he said he misses Bimby, but she said he cannot defend Bimby when people were calling their 11-year-old son soft and weak.

"When you never once made an effort to defend your son in any manner you showed what kind of man you are... Karangalan kong sampal sampalin ng mga salita sa ngalan ng pakikipaglaban para sa mga anak ko," she said in a post.

[Translation: I will use my words to fight for my children.]

Did you really think i would back down? I know how to survive & conquer. i got STRONGER, WORKED HARDER, and now if you disrespect me or my sons when i’ve done you no harm- i’m fighting back. Freedom of speech is a 2 way street. And I’M NOT DONE... What made me want to puke were the lines “i miss you and think about you everyday.” and “But i want you to know i will always be here for you.” NASAAN KA NUNG BINULLY SI BIMB NUNG DATIHANG BROADCASTER, na hindi naman umuubra ang pagsisipsip kay PRRD, NUNG TINAWAG NYANG BAKLAIN AT LAMPA ANG ANAK MO? When you never once made an effort to defend your son in any manner you showed what kind of man you are... Dahil sabihin nyo na ang lahat BUT MY SONS ARE LIVING PROOF that they are being raised with the love of a warrior queen. #lookwhatyoumademedo #Laban
