While Metro Manila will have widespread rains and thunderstorms in the coming days, PAGASA said this will be followed by dry periods, or monsoon breaks, for up to two weeks.

PAGASA also issued a thunderstorm advisory for June 8.

Heavy rains with lightning and strong winds in Metro Manila, Central Luzon and Southern Luzon today.

"All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides," PAGASA said.
