Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 12) — Senator Cynthia Villar took the top spot among senatorial candidates in a commissioned survey by the Social Weather Stations (SWS).

Should the elections be held during the survey period, Villar would take 53 percent of votes nationwide according to SWS. The pollster provided the list of senatorial bets.

Senator Grace Poe and Taguig Representative Pia Cayetano share the second top spot taking 43 percent of votes. Tied in the fourth and fifth places with 33 percent of votes each are Senator Koko Pimentel and actor Lito Lapid.

11-12. Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos (24 percent)

Elections will be held on May 13, 2019.

The survey was sponsored by Presidential Political Adviser Francis Tolentino, who ranked 15th in the survey following Senators Bam Aquino and JV Ejercito.

The poll was conducted from September 15 to 23 using face-to-face interviews of 1,500 adult Filipinos.
