Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 30) — Work and classes in several areas in Luzon have been suspended on Wednesday due to the onslaught of Typhoon Rosita (international name: Yutu) and in preparation for All Saints' Day.

The Malacañang has suspended all government work starting 3 p.m. to allow them to travel for All Saints' Day.

Work and classes in the Mindanao State University system were suspended at noon to give students and employees time to travel to their hometowns for the coming holidays.

Work in public and private sectors resumed today in Cagayan, but these remain suspended in Isabela and La Union. However, there is no suspension of work in the private sector in Baguio City, Angeles City and Pangasinan.
