Police arrest 12 armed men in Palawan

Puerto Princesa, Palawan (CNN Philippines, November 17) — Authorities arrested on Wednesday 12 men carrying various firearms and ammunitions in Palawan.

Police said a concerned citizen reported about a group of unidentified men aboard two motor bancas carrying high-powered firearms and wearing Army uniforms.

The group was said to have been unloading at Sitio Lubog, Brgy. De Carabao, Cuilion, Palawan, where they were eventually arrested by the police.

Arrested persons are now under the custody of Culion Police for further investigation, documentation, and proper disposition

Confiscated firearms and ammunitions, which include various models of rifles, shotguns, and bullets, will be turned over to Palawan Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for examination.

They will be charged for violation of RA 10591, or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition, by the Provincial Prosecution Office.
