Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Local flyweight fighter Jenel Lausa is scheduled to make his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) debut when he goes up against Yao Zhikui in UFC Fight Night Manila on October 15 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

A former boxing champion and jiu-jitsu practitioner, Jenel “The Demolition Man” Lausa is riding on a four-match win streak after getting the better of Crisanto Pitpitunge in Pacific Xtreme Combat 51 last January.

As a boxer, Lausa boasted of a perfect record of seven wins with no losses or draws, with four of those victories coming by knockout. While in mixed martial arts, he holds a respectable 6-2-0 slate.

China’s Zhikui earned his first victory for the promotion when he fought in UFC Fight Night Manila in May 2015.

Unlike his opponent, Zhikui is reeling from a loss against Fredy Serrano in his last outing for the UFC.

Lausa is the only Philippine-based competitor on the card for the Manila event this October.

UFC Fight Night Manila will be bannered by former lightweight and welterweight champion B.J. Penn and fourth-ranked featherweight contender Ricardo Lamas.

The co-main event features heavyweights Derrick Lewis and Marcin Tybura.
