Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — The Philippine men's national basketball team is gearing up for its next challenge, and there are a few new names that has been included in its training roster.

Gilas Pilipinas head coach Chot Reyes revealed on Twitter the call-ups when practice resumes on June 20.

Cal State Northridge recruit Kobe Paras, former Ateneo-standout Kiefer Ravena, former FEU forward Reymar Jose, and Filipino-German cager Christian Standhardinger are the new faces called to action.

Though the basketball public is familiar with Ravena and Paras, Standhardinger has yet to play in the Philippines. The latter's inclusion in the pool was confirmed by Gilas Pilipinas team manager Butch Antonio.

The 27-year old power forward currently plies his trade in Germany, where he plays for SC Rasta Vechta in the second-tier of German club basketball.

The rest of the call-ups are part of the initial Gilas pool announced in October 2016.

The national team is getting ready to compete in the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup in Lebanon from August 8 to 20.

Gilas Pilipinas is grouped alongside Asian heavyweight China, Iraq, and Qatar in Group B.
