Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 15) —  The Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws dismantled the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Growling Tigers, 96-70, Sunday afternoon at the San Juan Arena.

Ken Tuffin led the way for the Tamaraws with 14 points and three rebounds.

They were unstoppable as they were clicking on all cylinders in the opening quarter.

The Tamaraws' offensive onslaught came from their unselfish style of play that carried them to a 26-point edge heading into the halftime break.

The Growling Tigers clearly missed the services of import Steve Akomo, who is suffering from a flu, and starting guard Jordan Sta. Ana, who sustained a shoulder injury during practice.

An undermanned UST squad could not keep up with FEU who continued to push its lead as high as 36 points in the second half.

Arvin Tolentino chipped in 13, while Jasper Parker added 10 points for the Tamaraws who climbed up to 5-4 in the team standings.

Wendell Comboy and Jeepy Faundo paced the Growling Tigers with 17 markers apiece. They remain winless after nine outings.

FEU will go up against league leaders Ateneo Blue Eagles October 21, while UST collide with NU on October 22.
