Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 14) — The De La Salle University Lady Spikers reasserted their mastery of the University of the Philippines Lady Maroons in UAAP Season 80 women's volleyball tournament.

The Lady Spikers dominated the Lady Maroons in straight sets, 25-15, 25-19, 25-19, Wednesday at The Arena in San Juan.

Desiree Cheng and Kim Dy led the way for La Salle with 14 points apiece.

Just like in their first round encounter, the Lady Spikers capitalized on their service aces (15) compared to UP's four.

Dianna Carlos had a game-high 16 markers for the Lady Maroons.

DLSU notched its third consecutive victory to hold the league-best record 7-2, while UP dropped to 3-6 in the team standings.

La Salle will next face the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws on March 18, while the Lady Maroons tackle the University of Santo Tomas Golden Tigresses on March 17.
