Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 5) — Ricci Rivero announced on Thursday his decision to leave the De La Salle University Green Archers.

"All good things come to an end. Thank You to the La Sallian community for the support you've given me. The Animo spirit will always be with me. Its now time to move forward," Rivero said on his Twitter account.

Rivero showed promise for the Taft-based squad registering an average of 14.1 points and 5.4 rebounds in his sophomore year, which allowed him to become a part of the Mythical Team and bag the Most Improved Player award in Season 80.

In March, Rivero broke his silence on reports of alleged drug use. In a Twitter post, Rivero included a certified true copy of a hair follicle drug test result reported on February 9, 2018 and certified just five days after.

The tests showed Rivero tested negative for drug use.

Virtual Playground, Rivero's management team, told CNN Philippines that Ricci has yet to decide which school he will transfer.
