Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 7) Fans have witnessed a hotly-contested series between the San Miguel Beermen and Barangay Ginebra in the PBA Commissioner's Cup finals.

And from the looks of it, the war between the two sister teams will continue.

Is the seven-game affair scripted?

"Impossible," San Miguel Corporation Sports Director Alfrancis Chua told CNN Philippines Sports Desk.

Chua shot down talks that the outcome is pre-arranged, and laughed off one comment from a netizen who alleged that the SMC official is "directing the PBA Finals teleserye."

"How can you guide the ball na ma-shoot? Hindi mo magui-guide ang bola. Imposibleng scripted," he said.

Before the pivotal Game 5, the series has been decided by an average winning margin of 30 points.

Ginebra took a close 87-83 victory on Sunday to move a win away from the title.

"Hindi masyadong umiskor si (Justin) Brownlee pero nanalo ang Ginebra," Chua said.

Chua said he cannot 'direct' the players.

He explained that players from both teams have been really fighting for every possession.

"Even though they are sister teams, makikita mong dalawang beses muntik mag-away," Chua said. "Because of the intensity nagaaway-away. Sa San Miguel group walang sister teams. Patayan talaga. Gusto lahat manalo."

On Wednesday, the two teams will lock horns anew at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Beermen want to extend the series to keep their Grand Slam bid alive, while the Gin Kings hope to finally claim the Commissioner's Cup crown which they last held over two decades ago.
