Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 5) — Barangay Ginebra continued to wax hot in the 2018 PBA Governors' Cup.

Ginebra defeated the NorthPort Batang Pier, 104-98, to stay unbeaten Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Import Justin Brownlee registered 27 points, eight rebounds and eight assists for Ginebra.

The Batang Pier struggled to keep in step with Ginebra's firepower throughout the entire match.

Stanley Pringle helped NorthPort cut the lead to three points with less than two minutes left in the game.

But Japeth Aguilar would not let the Batang Pier inch closer, as he scored three straight buckets for Ginebra to secure its third consecutive victory.

Pringle tallied 34 points and seven assists for NorthPort, which remained winless after four outings.
