Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 7) — Paul Desiderio has signified his intention to join this year's PBA rookie draft.

The graduating University of the Philippines (UP) cager submitted his application Friday, according to the league website.

The Cebuano native is coming off a finals stint with UP, which he steered to its first UAAP championship appearance in 32 years.

Desiderio averaged 13.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.3 steals in his last season for the Diliman-based squad.

His inclusion has added depth to this rookie class which also includes CJ Perez, Bobby Ray Parks, and Robert Bolick.

The 2018 PBA rookie draft will happen on December 16 at the Robinsons Place Manila.
