Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 13) — Magnolia Hotshots guard Mark Barroca was slapped with a ₱50,000 fine for hitting Alaska Aces' Chris Banchero on the groin during Game 4 of the 2018 PBA Governors' Cup finals.

The league announced the sanction on its website Thursday after the Aces won the match, 90-76, and tied the series at 2-2.

The incident happened at the 2:40 mark of the final quarter where the two were standing beside each other while waiting for Alaska import Mike Harris' second free throw attempt.

The Hotshots and Aces are aiming to take the series edge in Game 5 which is slated on December 14 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
