Commuters at the MRT Ayala station were stopped from entering on Nov. 14 after a passenger was injured.

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 14) — The Metro Rail Transit (MRT) Ayala station in Makati was temporarily closed on Tuesday afternoon after a passenger was injured.

 

Officials said at 2:36 p.m., 24-year-old Angeline Fernando from Pasay City got down at the station from the MRT north bound train.

They said Fernando felt dizzy and fell onto the tracks between the first and second car as the train moved.

Her right hand was severed in the incident.

Officials said Fernando was rushed to the Makati Medical Center, adding that they were able to recover her hand.

 

Police said they are investigating the incident.
