Kentex managers, Valenzuela City mayor face charge

Managers and some employees of Kentex Manufacturing Corp. and Ace Shutter Corp. are facing multiple homicide charges for the footwear factory fire in Valenzuela City that left dozens dead.

In its recommendation, the Justice department said those charged showed reckless imprudence resulting in the death of Kentex workers. Valenzuela City Mayor Rex Gatchalian and a number of firemen also face graft and administrative charges for violating the fire code. This report aired on CNN Philippines' Newsroom on July 23, 2015.
