Achieving peace in Mindanao: VP candidates' alternatives

While the vice presidential candidates agree to pursue Mindanao peace process, some still propose alternatives.

During the vice presidential debate on Sunday (April 10), Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano echoed the stance of his running mate Davao Mayor Rodrigo "Rody" Duterte — that federalism is the only way to go.

Sen. Antonio "Sonny" Trillanes IV also calls for the creation of two Muslim autonomous regions: one comprising central Mindanao and the other: Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-tawi.

Most of the candidates, however, are against the proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law.
