Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 10) — Julia Barretto hints at moving on after being involved in an alleged cheating controversy that has gripped the nation.

"Next chapter," Barretto said in an Instagram caption, along with a photo of her looking straight at the camera, with her wet-look hair let down.

This is her first post since she accused fellow actress Bea Alonzo of bullying. Barretto and Alonzo, along with actor Gerald Anderson made it to the top Twitter trends in the past few weeks, as Alonzo’s social media post and likes fueled speculations that Anderson had been seeing Barretto while still in a relationship with her.

Anderson has since clarified that no third party was involved in his breakup with Alonzo. Barretto said the same regarding her relationship with Joshua Garcia. Alonzo, meanwhile, said Anderson never broke up with her but just started "ghosting" – or not talking to her.

Barretto's latest post gained over 200,000 likes in15 hours, gaining support from family and friends.

"Nobody else can write that next chapter but you. Own it, live it, and be proud of it," Kris Aquino advised the 22-year-old Barretto. The young actress replied, "Hugs, Tita Kris."

Barretto's own aunts, including Gretchen and Claudine Barretto have been publicly expressing their support for Alonzo. The showbiz issue gained such prominence that even a Supreme Court justice and some lawmakers weighed in on social media.
