Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 7) — The aunt of actress Julia Barretto is rooting for Bea Alonzo in the alleged third-party saga involving the two actresses and fellow network star Gerald Anderson.

Gretchen Barretto, also an actress, made her side clear: "TEAM BEA FOR THE WIN."

She aired her support for Bea on Tuesday, right after Julia finally spoke up about allegations she was the third party that led to the Bea-Gerald break up.

Julia wrote a seven-page message on her Instagram page, alleging Bea was "downright bullying" her even if the latter did not name her explicitly in her cryptic Instagram post. Julia lashed out at Bea for encouraging a “culture of hate” and “putting malice” into the minds of the public by liking harmless social media posts.

“You are a woman of great influence and following. You could have used that power to promote strength and grace in women, but instead, you’ve used that to promote social media irresponsibility. This is downright bullying,” Julia said in her post, which was accompanied with a throwback photo of her and Alonzo. “You can play victim all you want, but I refuse to be your victim,” she added.

But Julia's aunt was not buying it. Gretchen claimed that she could tell that a ghost writer was behind Julia's message.

"The fact that they hired a ghost writer for this post is hilarious & makes her sound desperate to salvage whatever is left," Gretchen replied to a netizen and posted it on her Instagram Stories.

Gretchen earlier sent Bea flowers to show support for the actress. Julia's other aunt, Claudine Barretto, also sent flowers to Bea.

The three actors made it to the top Twitter trends in the past few weeks, as Bea’s social media post and likes fueled speculations that Gerald had been seeing Julia while in the relationship. Julia clarified that no third party was involved in the break-up.
