Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 18) — Filipino vocal powerhouse Marcelito Pomoy was named the third runner-up of US talent competition 'America’s Got Talent: The Champions' on Tuesday (Philippine time).

The singer was speechless when asked for a message to his supporters, so host Terry Crews called on his wife to the stage.

"He just wanted to say, 'Thank you so much for everybody.' This is a big, big opportunity for him. That's all. Thank you so much," his wife Joan said.

Heidi Klum, one of the four judges, praised the singer who is known for his signature dual voices.

"Marcelito, I love you so much. You have the most beautiful voice. Actually — the most beautiful voices inside of you. You are a champion. And thank you so much for sharing your talent with all of us,” she said.

Pomoy, whose previous performances drew praise and standing ovations, performed Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson's version of "Beauty and the Beast" during the show's grand finals, which aired the previous week.

Dance crew V. Unbeatable was hailed the winner of the competition.

"America’s Got Talent: The Champions" is a spin-off of the hit US talent show, which brings together past contestants and winners of international Got Talent franchises.
