Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 21) – Filipino singer Christian Bautista collaborated with Indonesian artist Delon Thamrin for a song that aims to uplift the people’s spirits amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

In an interview with CNN Philippines’ Rico Hizon on Tuesday, Bautista shared he wanted to create an inspiring piece that will incite the people to help each other in this time of uncertainty.

“Yes, we may be on lockdown. But through other means like the Internet, we can still help each other,” Bautista said.

Bautista, also the song’s composer, emphasized that now is the time to promote the bayanihan spirit to overcome the global health crisis that we are all facing.

For Delon, the song is a call for unity among people to be better for each other.

“We hope that the crisis in Indonesia, in the Philippines, in Asia, and in the world becomes more good and better something like that. And then we are hoping that the vaccine will be found one day,” said the Indonesian artist.
