Tracy Perez/Miss World Philippines

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 4) — Tracy Maureen Perez was crowned Miss World Philippines 2021 at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

She bested 44 other candidates to succeed Michelle Dee.

Perez will be the country’s representative to the 70th Miss World pageant in Puerto Rico in December.

Other winners of the night include Kathleen Paton, Miss Eco Philippines; Tatyana Austria, Miss Eco Teen Philippines; Emmanuelle Vera, Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas; and Shaila Robertera, Miss Multinational.

Trisha Martinez was hailed as Miss Philippines Tourism, while candidate Michelle Arceo was Miss Environment International.

The Philippines has only one Miss World crown, courtesy of Megan Young in 2013.

Miss World Philippines was forced to skip its 2020 edition due to the coronavirus pandemic. This year, its main event was postponed several times due to restrictions brought about by surges in COVID-19 cases.
