Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach returned to the Philippines on Saturday (January 23) for her grand homecoming.

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach will be coming home this January, and event organizers have provided her detailed schedule.

Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) and Miss Universe released on Tuesday (January 19) Wurtzbach's schedule in the Philippines from January 23 to 28.

She is set to arrive in the country on January 23 (Saturday) at 6 a.m., followed with a brief press conference in the airport.

January 25 (Monday) will be a very busy day for the beauty queen as she is expected to pay a courtesy call to Manila mayor Joseph Estrada and will receive the Citation of Excellence at the Senate, before rounding out the day with her homecoming parade.

Her grand homecoming parade will take the route from Hotel Sofitel to Manila City to Makati City. The parade will start at 2 p.m.

From Hotel Sofitel, the route will pass along Atang Dela Rama St., Vicente Sotto St., F. Ma. Guerrero St., Bukaneg St., Roxas Boulevard, Padre Burgos St., Finance Road, Taft Avenue, Quirino Avenue, Gil Puyat, Ayala Avenue, Ayala-Makati Fire Station, then Ayala Avenue again, and Rustan's Makati is the last stop.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said starting 3:30 p.m., the northbound section of Ayala Avenue will be closed to traffic.

MMDA also warned of moderate to heavy traffic in these areas.

On the same day, she will also parade around the Araneta Center area in Cubao, Quezon City at 5 p.m.

On Tuesday, January 26, she will do courtesy calls on the President Benigno Aquino III at the Malacañang Palace and the city mayors of Makati and Quezon City. She will also receive the Congressional Medal of Distinction at the House of Representatives in Batasan Pambansa.

January 27 (Wednesday) is set for her charity works.

The following day, Wurtzbach will attend the Miss Universe Homecoming Special at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Stella Araneta, chairperson of BPCI earlier said that Wurtzbach will have a chance to interact with her fans and her "chance to do her walk that she never did in Miss Universe."

Wurtzbach shared with CNN Philippines that when she found out about the plans for her homecoming, she got emotional just imagining doing the grand activities planned out for her, especially the event at Araneta Center.

She also called for the Filipinos to bring a Philippine flag if they are attending any of the homecoming events.
