Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Filipinos are excited over the country's hosting of the prestigious Miss Universe 2016 pageant. But there's a catch.

The grand coronation happens on January 30, 2017 at 5:00 a.m. — on a Monday, nonetheless — and netizens are not thrilled about it.

Some parody accounts on Twitter are asking if the pageant will either be a fun run or simbang gabi.

One netizen suggested to create a new special award for the pageant: Miss Woke Up Like This.

The coronation will be held at 5 a.m. PHT so the airing in parts of the U.S. , Canada, Mexico will happen at 5 p.m. or primetime TV.

Miss Universe will be next year, 5 am. Yes. 5 am since it's evening in the US by that time. Not that this is the first time though.

It will be worth it to wake up at dawn because the Tourism Department hinted on Thursday that a Hollywood singer with Filipino blood will be one of the special guests during the grand coronation.

Philippine pride Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach will pass on the crown to her successor.
