Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 15) — A visual artist from Angono, Rizal is creating face masks and eco-friendly bags inspired by the tireless work of frontliners, for the benefit of select organizations amid the pandemic.

In his CNN Philippines interview on Saturday night, Nani De Leon Reyes said he and one of his art collector friends decided to launch the project to help people in need during the pandemic.

“Sabi ng isang kolektor, baka pwede akong lumikha ng isang obra na maaaring makapag bigay pugay sa ating mga frontliners,” he said.

[Translation: One art collector asked me if I might be interested in creating art that will pay tribute to our frontlinbers.]

They are selling the merchandise through the non-government organization Kalinga sa mga Tagapangalaga.
