Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — With micro, small, and medium enterprises among the sectors worst hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, Globe Business is boosting efforts to help these affected firms.

“Since the pandemic started last year, we’ve already launched several initiatives for the micro, small, and medium business owners in the Philippines,” Globe Business Industry Lead for Supply Chain Michiko Castañeda told CNN Philippines.

The theme of Globe Business’ three-year-old Saludo SMEs campaign in 2021 is “Tuloy Tayo”: a hopeful and encouraging reminder to small businesses that they can indeed move forward amid these trying times with innovations through digital solutions.

For instance, the Globe Business DigiStore features products and services of some of their clients along with members of partner organizations Let’s Eat Pare, Anvil, Entrepreneurs Organization, and DTI Negosyo Center.

Globe Business also paired up with DTI Negosyo Center for its Saludo Stories Promo, which allows MSMEs to share how they successfully pivoted amid the pandemic. It aims to recognize those who used technology to propel their businesses forward.

There’s also the Loyalty Program wherein Globe Business brings together changemakers and visionaries to recognize and reward their efforts during this period.

Globe Business has likewise collaborated with BPI BizTech and Ayala Enterprise Circle for the Ayala Tri-Pillar program, which helps enable MSMEs through their digital journey.

With the global health crisis accelerating the shift to a digital economy, Globe Business recognizes the importance of helping MSMEs adapt to the changing times.

“There are a lot of business owners, especially those in the supply chain industries like the retail business owners, who want to bring their businesses online. It’s Globe Business’ mission and vision to handhold them and equip them with digital solutions that they need and they can use for their businesses,” Castañeda said.

In service of MSMEs, Globe Business commits to providing small and medium firms the right tools, expertise, and training to aid them in their digital transformation.

For instance, Globe Business struck up partnerships with e-commerce giants Lazada and Zalora to help business owners without their own platforms to sell online.

“Business owners needed to pivot their way through the pandemic in order to survive. Globe Business will be their partner through this journey,” Castañeda added.
