Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 28) — For a local burger brand that isn't as big as McDo or Jollibee, Zark's Burgers sure knew how to celebrate with a bang.

On Monday, hundreds of people trooped to its 29 branches nationwide to take advantage of its 8th anniversary promo: P8 for a Zark's Ultimate Burger, which usually costs P149, for the first 80 customers per branch.

Netizens took pictures of the frenzy before the opening of the malls, made more crowded by the August 28 National Heroes' Day holiday.

"Zarks" even trended on Twitter on Monday.

Some netizens poked fun at the promo with references to the hit Korean zombie movie "Train to Busan" and the new Taylor Swift song "Look What You Made Me Do."

Zark's Burgers was grateful for the overwhelming support, and apologized for the inconvenience it brought to other mallgoers.
