Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 3) — A strong typhoon has left Philippine territory but rainy weather is still expected in Luzon and Mindanao, weather officials warned.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Typhoon "Maymay", now named "Jebi", left the country Monday morning but will continue to enhance the southwest monsoon.

This will bring rains over Metro Manila, Pangasinan, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, and the Zamboanga Peninsula.

Weather officials also said light to moderate with occasional heavy rains will pour over Zambales, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Pampanga, Bataan, Batangas and the rest of Metro Manila.

Weather Forecaster Meno Mendoza assured there are no new weather disturbances that may affect the country in the next two days.

"Sa ngayon sa susunod na dalawang araw wala pa tayong nakikita na sama ng panahon na posibleng pumasok sa Philippine area," Mendoza told CNN Philippines' New Day.
