Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 13) — A Belmonte may govern Quezon City again as incumbent Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte leads the Quezon City mayoralty race based on partial and unofficial results.

Belmonte, daughter of former Quezon City mayor Feliciano "Sonny" Belmonte, had 445,701 votes as of 10 p.m.. Another front-runner and Belmonte's closest challenger, Rep. Bingbong Crisologo, had 346,921 votes.

Ismael 'Chuck' Mathay III is running third with 18,037 votes.

These are based on the partial, unofficial election results from 1,411 of 1,487 clustered precincts canvassed by the City Board of Canvassers.

Crisologo was earlier nabbed in operations against alleged vote-buying in Brgy. Bahay Toro in Quezon City a day before the polls.
